A dream never comes true if you don’t fight for it, but sometimes it seems that even if you work really hard it gets harder and harder to reach it. It hurts to watch people that just give up ¿What happens to their families and the country that gifted their work so young people could have quality education? Studying isn’t just about me, it’s about making worth the effort of millions, to prove that because of them there are young people that pay back each drop of blood and sweat to their country.
My dad used to have a job that paid him enough to cover my education, he was the support of our family, but one day, with a simple “you are not useful anymore”, he was discharged at his 75 years of age. Everything started to fall apart, his only option was to retire, but with $3000 mexican pesos ($222 US) per month he wasn’t able to pay for my studies anymore. I was accepted to college, my brothers help me to pay for school with lots of efforts. I Have 9.9 as my average grade (the perfect grade here is 10) College is my life an I don’t want to be a burden. I will make everything I can to help yo, I will prove you I’m worth it and I will give everything to Mexico. I’ll never leave you
My name is Jennifer, I’m a 21 year old college student from Mexico and I’m in a contest to win a scholarship so I can keep on with my studies. I love my country, and my family and I really want to help them both. Please help me, reblog, and share my story
